Tataki de thon


You will need: (for 4 people)

  • 350g of red tuna
  • 2 tablespoons ofolive oil
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 lime
  • 3 tablespoons salted soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • A few pieces of grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Rancio vinegar

  1. Cut the tuna into thick slices.
  2. Mix all the other ingredients except the sesame seeds.
  3. Dip the tuna into the marinade and turn it over so that it is well coated.
  4. Leave to marinate for 1 hour in a cool place.
  5. Remove the tuna slices from the marinade and roll them in the sesame seeds.
  6. In a hot pan, fry the tuna slices very quickly on all sides. The tuna should remain raw on the inside.
  7. Re-slice the tuna into thinner slices before serving with different condiments (soy, wasabi, …) or with the rest of the marinade.
Tip: This recipe can also be created with seaweed and seawater vinegar or aphrodisiac balsamic.
