Sardine tartare

A change in your plate


You need: (for 2 people)

  • 1 tin of sardines in oil
  • 1 onion
  • 5 teaspoons of Espelette pepper vinegar
  • A few dried tomato petals
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • Salt and pepper

  1. Drain the sardines and crush them with a fork.
  2. Peel and finely chop the onion, then mix it with the vinegar and the tomato petals.
  3. Add the tomato paste and place in the fridge for 1 hour.
  4. Mix it all together just before serving and enjoy as an appetizer with some green salad leaves.
Tip: This recipe can also be created with garrigue vinegar or tarragon and Madagascar pepper vinegar.
