Shrimp in hot sauce
For Valentine’s Day?
You need: (for 2 people)
- 20 large shrimps
- 4 tablespoons of tomato sauce
- 4 tablespoons tomato vinegar, basil, smoked paprika
- 2 small spring onions
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 teaspoon of Espelette pepper
- Salt & Pepper
- Clean, peel and remove the black vein from the shrimp.
- Chop the onions and garlic.
- In a hot frying pan, cook the shrimp in a spoonful of olive oil and set aside.
- Put the pan back on the heat and deglaze with the tomato, basil and smoked paprika vinegar. Then add the onions and garlic with a tablespoon of olive oil.
- When they start to colour, add the tomato sauce, water and Espelette pepper. Mix well and reduce for a few minutes over a low heat.
- At the end of the cooking time, add the lemon juice.
- Add the prawns, coating them well with the sauce, and leave to heat over a medium heat for just one minute to warm them up.
- Serve with white rice.
