Potato waffles

Kids will love it!


You will need: (for 6 people)

  • 6 large potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 log of goat cheese (300g)
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons Espelette pepper oil
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • A few sprigs of chives
  • Salt & Pepper

  1. Wash, peel and grate the potatoes and carrots.
  2. Mix the grated vegetables with the garlic powder, Espelette pepper oil, egg yolk and cornflour.
  3. Chop the chives finely and add to the mixture.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Heat the waffle maker. (If you don’t have a waffle maker, you can also cook them in a pan.
  5. Slice the goat log and set aside.
  6. Cook the waffles for about 5 minutes. You can keep them warm in an oven preheated to 60°C.
  7. When all the waffles are done, put them on a plate and put a slice of goat cheese on each waffle and eat immediately.
Tip: This recipe can also be created with basil oil or old-fashioned matured olive oil.
