Spiced apples

Greediness…

You need: (for 2 people)

  • 2 golden apples
  • 15g brown sugar
  • 60g hazelnuts
  • 60g chestnuts
  • 2 slices of gingerbread
  • 3 tablespoons of balsamic with candied figs
  • 10g butter
  • A little cinnamon

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  2. Start by cutting off the top of the apple and removing the resulting cap. Scoop out the inside with a spoon, remove the core and finely chop the flesh.
  3. Place the cored apples and their caps on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, crush the chestnuts and hazelnuts. In a frying pan, brown them with the butter and the apple flesh.
  5. Sprinkle with brown sugar until they are nicely caramelised. Add the balsamic figs at the end and mix well.
  6. Using a cookie cutter, cut out gingerbread circles (about 4 to 5 cm) and lightly toast them in a toaster.
  7. Place the gingerbread slices on a plate and place the baked apples on top. Garnish with the dried fruit and cover with the hat. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  8. Serve warm.
Tip: This recipe can also be created with spiced vinegar, walnut and curry balsamic or aphrodisiac balsamic.
